Twin flames

I'd forgotten about this post. And it's reminded me that this may indeed be what i am experiencing. It's given me new hope, thank you.

Yep, IMO, feeling like someone is “home” can be super intense and special. I’ve been there too. A while back, I met someone who just felt so familiar, like we’d known each other forever. I started wondering if we might be something like twin flames. To get a bit of clarity, I tried out the Twin Flame Calculator online, and it was a fun way to get some perspective. I don’t know if it’s a definitive answer, but it gave me some food for thought.

Every time I think I recognize somebody with similar traits to myself, and with the same intellectual curiosity. It get...awkward. Call it...Twin Icycles

I had some of that other stuff, the O/P is experiencing and it didn't work out, so many times, I came to distrust the feeling greatly.

I'd like to think I'm an "anomaly" in that way too. It felt so real, it should have worked...

It was a number of years ago now. I think it was a fellow Autist (sorry if that's the wrong term, I'm trying to navigate my way through). I'm no longer in touch with her.

That's interesting regarding 2 neurodiverse individuals. I haven't heard of that. Food for thought. Thank you x

This is an interesting topic. Especially as I don't often see fellow autistic people talk about this. 

Just curious where did you find out about the term Twin Flame Justbe? I've been on this journey for a while and somehow knew about the concept after being awakened by my twin, 

Not sure if twin flames exist between 2 neurodiverse individuals who spot the same characteristics between one another. 

Tell him. Then invite him over for .....a game of Pokemon

In spite of being educated as a scientist and working my whole life with material or mechanical things, I still keep an open mind to these things as there has been too much anecdotal evidence shown for me to dismiss it out of hand.

With this in mind I can think about it 2 ways:

1 - Thinking about it logically and rationally I would say this is a mental construct you have created to try to make more of the situation than it really is. It is understandable that you want it to be special so your mind provides its own supporting "logic" to explain it to you.

2 - Thinking about it more spiritually, it could be this or a connection so special that it defies conventional labelling.

Either way it is special to you so why worry, just make the most of it and enjoy the fact it is there.

I would describe it as a feeling of deep connection. It's beyond the physical. And it feels like i've had a relationship with him in a previous life.

How would you describe the term? That would give us a bit more to work from as I suspect it can be interprited in different ways.
