What are the advantages of being diagnosed?

I grew up being told to "act normal"!
So I refrained from doing something about who I am in my adult state (talking to others) or researching. (Apart from my own personal studies & observations trying to work out - what make people tick & why. People fascinate me). I grew up believing that not "play the game" was a bad thing & I am good at Masking (but it's so exhausting!).
I do not see who I am as a hindrance or a problem & I struggle to understand why others do; I like who I am! I accept who I am!
I have just completed my first test online "aspergerstestsite.com" & scored 46, the cut off being 32+ for Asperger's. So what should this mean for me??

When it comes down to it. I am just interested in the facts of the matter. Would I benefit? What could change? How much control would I have over these changes? Or would I be diving into a pool of stress & anxiety because things would change & be out of my control?
I would be glad of more input/facts so I can make an informed decision if to carry on.

It's a scary road ahead!
