I have Loop Earplugs, and they work good, but I find all earplugs pretty uncomfortable for long term use, and decent active noise cancelling headphones aren't really an option financially. I'm considering ear defenders, but if possible I'd like some that aren't as bulky and come in colours other than safety yellow or plain black. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
There is a brand called howard leight which does more colours, a slimmer design than most and active noise control - I think they are mostly used for shooting / hunting scenarios but may be closer to what you are looking for.
