Does any one get thoughts that come in to your head and you don't want them there it makes you frustrated irritated and angry at them being there. 

  • Yep. It's difficult when you are 100% convinced that they are true. 

  • Yes, these are called intrusive thoughts and they can be quite overwhelming. Repeating things to myself like "it is an intrusive thought, it is not how I truly believe or a reflection of my character" can be helpful. I also try to link things with other 'neutral' thoughts, for example a particular type of trigger I link with a specific video of poppy fields (the flower) - reducing the emotion/focus on the unwanted thought helps it go away.
