Great project and hats off for putting in the work, however, given the Level of web development today, some more sophisticated UI/UX and overall functional design would  definitely help here.

Q1 I was starting to go down that route, then realised how poor mannered that would be.

Q2 So I thought it would be better if you at least asked the Authors...

I'm also minded that this place is alledgedly due to change platorm and has issue a three year IIRC cut off point, so people might LIKE some of the old stuff to be preserved.
