Autopia! My creation of an online autistic community!

Hi neurokin!

Thanks so much for our discussion earlier about creating another online autistic community which is entirely autistic led! I have started to create an initial forum using Proboards (which was kindly suggested to me) with different topics.

Here is the link if you are interested:

Any feedback?

What do you think about the topics I have created?

Thank you!

Obviously I will continue to develop and work on it but I am just looking for initial thoughts.

  • Thanks for clarifying, of course I will ask the authors before reposting any content.

I have since updated the forum with boards:

    What do you think?

  • Q1 I was starting to go down that route, then realised how poor mannered that would be.

Q2 So I thought it would be better if you at least asked the Authors...

I'm also minded that this place is alledgedly due to change platorm and has issue a three year IIRC cut off point, so people might LIKE some of the old stuff to be preserved.

  • Thanks for your feedback, I would be very grateful for some feedback or advice from you!

they could be places where people who have a bit of a clue can put down some useful guidleines and advice that will STAY ACCESIBLE.

What do you mean by this? I have interpreted this to mean that maybe it would be a good idea to save some informative posts from this site to make them accessible to everyone. Am I right?

MAYBE, you could trawl though this site and personally select posters who might want their helpful words kept more accesiblly? I know I would (if I had the discrimination and stamina to sift through my stuff and sort the wheat from the chaff).

Can you clarify this suggestion as well please?

    Thank you!

  • About your forum...

I have "walked the walk" of Autism (largely un-diagnosed, admitttedly) and arrived a a point that seems to be reasonably happy and well-adjusted compared to many, after a long period of trial and error investigating.

I looked at some of your headings and felt, "I could enter useful input there" but I am keenly aware that my particular experience based perspective does not sit well at all with some of the more naive and vocal minds, and I genuinely don't know whether I'd enhance or spoil the place, but those categories are awful tempting, and some look like they could be places where people who have a bit of a clue can put down some useful guidleines and advice that will STAY ACCESIBLE.
