I saw this video about society having a medium amount. Here are two examples. You can talk too much or not enough. You can stand too close or too far away.
He mentioned how it's hard to know the proper medium amount when there are no clear lines to follow.
I mention this because I like this forum but I have anxiety that I may post too much and be annoying.
I really feel like I probably go way overboard talking when I am very interested in something. I can talk to another person's exhaustion going through the details.
It’s sounds like flat-lining to me..
Another way of describing a medium amount is average.
Who wants to be average?
I should probably ask myself whether I talk too-much, but now I think about it, I ask myself that all the time and the answer is ‘yes’... :D

Just take the time to say to them "please tell me if I talk too much or not enough - I never seem to know. So please, do tell me"
You have not given the person clear license to tell you what is right for them and if they don't say anything then you have got it right. Win-win!
I spend 90% of any interaction with people asking myself "am I talking too much? or am I not talking enough?" especially with new people. It's tricky!
I think these things are relative.
For example, whether a person is 'talking too much' very much depends on who they are talking to ....
Thank you! I had to look up the definition of "glib" and I don't think I do that. Also, a second thank you. I love learning new words as well as the origin and progression of words.
Good news! I've extensively tested this site, for the very things you mention. And:
1. You cannot post too much.
2. It matters not what you say, (Unless you are good at being "glib") in a big enough group, you will annoy someone at some point, but you'l also please some people.
Overall this is a fairly god site with some really great people on it, and as far as I can see, only a few bad apples.
