Meditate on that which is outside, then, not that which is inside.
Try a 'candle meditation', for example - get a candle, in a holder, place it somewhere where you can see it whilst sitting comfortably, light the candle and then, well, meditate on it, look at the flame, and watch it, but try not to 'think about' it, allow your conciousness to leave your body, and to enter the flame.
I am also hypersensitive to pain, and this fuels my hypochondria. I got checked out my my GP a few months ago - healthy heart and pulse; my aches are caused by anxiety, she said. I also over focus on them, making them more powerful than they perhaps are. My muscles are always tense.
I saw a physio for breathing/relaxation exercises, but this made me more anxious. If I focus on my breathing, an automatic activity becomes conscious, and I am already hyper aware of unconscious processes!.
Autism means 'self-state'. We can become consumed by our own bodies and the sensations from within. We need therapists who understand.
with my form of meditation i tend to go into my body, the sensations becomes more alive, i can hear and feel my heart beating.. and every bit of tension in my body becomes the focus.. it raises anxiety if I am in an anxiety mood...
Master Scorpion.., Any suggests on meditation which would be better to take me away from the pain, body to mind correlation,, which I hate
as my body and mind are too alive
