you're lucky u made it back -- but hey u did 2 extra miles
Went for a six mile walk today. It was supposed to be a four mile walk, but I had really trouble finding part of the footpath and doubled back on myself multiple times until I found it.
Seriously, TfL, add some more signs!
I visited my Artist Friend earlier today. He has an LP he borrowed from a friend in his Art School days in Manchester; which belonged to Gruff Rhys before he became famous. I have a plan to post that LP to him, via his agent, as amends on behalf of my mate.
Lying low, without doing the Zoom Quiz. The father of the woman who used to organise the Meetups in Belfast passed away on Monday. He had cancer. I posted a Mass Card on Tuesday, which they got.
Educationally, I am on three, programming courses.
I've also bought myself a new smartphone. I was looking for one with the biggest screen that was affordable and easy to hold in one hand. For £100 I got a 6.82 inch screen phone.
I've made some good progress on my website for my first project I have video on my phone that I want to share on here but I don't know how to upload videos on this it doesn't seem to work when I try and do it.
But I'm on track to completing it on time with everything that I want included in the site :)
flat out work today at location 100 miles from home. --- took down a tree., chopped it up for fire wood. Put in 2 posts for a gate then hung the gate. saw the new shih tzu called willow he is so cute. cut 3 hedges and 2 lawns plus some emergency weed clearance. then I'm back to the R2D2 project at nephews house tonight.
Stressful day yesterday.
First, I found out that there will be a few more viewings of the bungalow I want in the week to come, and the guy who viewed it yesterday (Friday) needs to get back to his bank.
Then, I found out that the Solicitors in County Monaghan are trying to deal with Bank of Ireland to see if the Northern Irish Probate would suffice when closing the joint account Gran and Mum had with Bank of Ireland in Monaghan. They said they'd email me by the end of yesterday. I'll keep at them on Monday.
I was waiting for Groceries to come from Asda, whenever a Gypsy couple arrived in a white Citroen Van with a ladder. They went away after I said no, and I memorised their reg number and informed my local community on Messenger and WhatsApp.
Then, I had a conversation on Messenger with a friend from Brighton who has a lot of family issues. Afterwards, I slept thirteen and a half hours; from half ten last night to Noon today.
I'm free! Now entering my long weekend. My boss told me to leave early so I snaffled half a day. Slept solid as soon as I logged off (literally I can feel my head clearing and the energy flowing back into my bones).
It's the cognitive load. Apparently I'm doing well in the role I'm in - but I'm finding it exhausting. And it's not the difficulty - it's the frustration. I had two straight asks today which I cleared with ease - because for me they are straightforward. The social stuff? The constant jumping from one meeting to another? You may as well hand me the Hammacher Schlemmer crossword.
I did wonder if I could manage the tiredness and I think I've concluded I can't. It's not just that I get tired, it's the deterioration in mental state and difficulty in judgement. Yesterday I could barely function. My body spoke - and I'm going to listen.
There may be another opportunity to do the role in August but I'm either going to have to decline it or work are going to have to build in some adjustments and stick to them.
For now, I don't have to think about it. Just glad to spend the time relaxing and catching up on some reading.
