How to deal with autistic meltdowns

Shouting, screaming, throwing things, threatening people

Parents
  • For me it's an overspill. Lots of crying, shouting, accusations and whatever comes into my brain first. I need to talk and I need to vent. Afterwards, I get exhausted but I feel better. I'm not the throwing type but I do like physical labour when I'm stressed. Being physically busy takes the energy out and focuses my brain on a task.
