My employer was trying to deny my aspergers is a disability in an employment tribunal. The tribunal dismissed this argument and my employer now accepts that this is a disability.
They are now keen to settle.
Its not over yet but it just goes to show that even if an employer doesn't take aspergers seriously....an employment tribunal judge will.
With the greivances, there is opportunity for your employer to address the situation. Sounds like early days in the process.
Let's hope an employer chooses the correct course of action for once.
I've just lodged a grievance with my employer, waiting for them to respond. I have a really great autie lawyer acting for me, they really have broken the law in so many ways, I think I'd be more scared if I were doing it myself.
Couldn't agree more!

Hi, I will sort out a profile on here. I'm spending today writing out my case, which is employment tribunal. I'm struggling to get started, I've got so much I need to say and that I want to say.
Thanks. I sent you a connection request with some further information, I couldn't see how to send a DM.
I asked for background information. You didn't provide it, so I have to go on the assumption that your only diagnosis is ASC. I will happily have a conversation with you and offer what advice I can. But I am not a mind reader
Thanks for that... very perceptive yet no back ground info lol
You won't get it
I want to get high rate mobility
Do you get legal support?
Enlighten me........
The structure of the tribunal system is the same. But if it helps, I have won two of those too!
I may have some PIP questions though
I think he is referring to an employment tribunal
Hi,
I have won three out of three. PIP, Universal Credit and LCWRA. So I will quite happily help if you can give me some history and if you set up a profile. Not a fan of talking to random, uninvested people. Nothing personal
I can advise please dm me
I’d be interested if there is any update on this. And if anyone else has experience at a tribunal for disability discrimination. I’m about to start this process and keen to get any advice or read peoples experiences.
This shouldn't even be a discussion! Aspergers/Autism meets all Government guidelines and all aspects of the Equality Act 2010. Disability has protected the status and by extension, you qualify. People like your employer are the problem! Please, get in contact if you need any assistance.
My advice is to do all HR related communications via email. Say its your preferred method of communication as a result of your aspergers if needs be. You really need to try and be one step ahead at all times.
