Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.
From Darkness to Light.
1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)
2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)
3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.
1. My sister's illness is food poisoning, not something more pernicious.
2. I braved a taxi home today from the hospital. It was meant to be a bus but that's another story
First taxi in many many years.
3. I sat in the back of the taxi with a face mask on and opened the window.
This is very different from when I was young when I felt obliged to sit in the front and make conversation and would never have been brave enough to open a window in case the driver didn't like it.

Bless you Debbie.

Ugh?
What time are you on till? = a common / safe opening line if a conversation with a cabbie is required.
