Do you have any Zen that helps?
This is a little Zen thing I was taught on a business course which helps at times and it doesn't have to be just anger.
A Zen Master (ZM) was in a field with students, an Angry Man (AM) came up to them and was being very angry to the ZM.
ZM: (to his students) If someone has a gift for you, but you do not take it, who does it belong to?
Student: The person giving it.
ZM: (to AM) Sir, I do not wish to take your anger.
Just leave them to stew in it, don't let them pass it onto you and leave you with it.

Don't feed the troll!
To stop feeding the beast I would say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.....lol
move...and I’ve wound someone up! X
That's a good way to look at it. It's like the situation with my narcissist sister-in-law, who's created an awful lot of unhappiness in the family over the years - particularly with me. I used to respond to her, or react to her. She fed on it, of course.
So now... I've cut her off. I no longer feed the beast.
No zen here.....just an elephant doing doggy paddle in the deep end of life x
Another great help for me is:-
Not my circus, not my monkeys!
it's great for quite a few situations.
