Has anyone experienced heightened sensory overwhelm because of peri, meno or post menopause?

Definitely "yes".
It can be more tiring to maintain the more essential aspects of masking too. (In an ideal World "masking" would not be required or necessary ...in the meantime, we all do our best
NHS Leicestershire have a menopause and Autism webpage of information and resources:
https://www.leicspart.nhs.uk/autism-space/health/menopause-and-autism/
There was no support to be found in my GP Practice / my own County NHS Trust - however, I thought the Leicestershire NHS Trust had made a good effort with the above webpage of information.
Yes most definitely. I didn’t realise that’s what it was at first in fact it took a couple of years to figure it out. I’ve taken HRT for 18 months which has settled some things down like general anxiety and achy joints but sleep is still a challenge and I’m definitely still more sensitive to noise or maybe just more aware of it. My plan is to try and find simple ways of reducing my exposure to sensory overwhelm when possible.
Definitely. Basically everything feels more difficult - temperature, touch, smells, sounds, physical sensations, sleep. The menopause is making life pretty difficult for me. I don’t want to take medication though - so I’m hoping that in time these issues will improve (I’ve read that they can).
Yes. I have had a much harder time with sensory issues, sound, heat, auditory processing, food fussiness, need for routines, and difficulty with executive function than I did before I started perimenopause. Around the time of covid I think I had an episode of autistic burnout (although the GP treated me for anxiety and depression) Everything is so much harder than it’s ever been! I am on HRT, not sure it’s making any difference.
I'm about to leave for a GP appointment, but will just quickly share this, in case it's helpful:
It does include, in respect of your question:
"Research suggests menopause can affect autistic people in a number of ways, including ... intensified sensory sensitivities"
