Good luck! Sometimes they deliberately don't say too much because they want to see HOW you think as well as WHAT you think- that was certainly the case during my own assessment anyway.

I was really just hoping to have a clear answer, but I was fairly confident that that answer was autism so it was definitely nice to have that confirmed!

Great to hear! I had part 1 of my assessment today and not sure what the purpose was to it!! Ive got part 2 in a couple of weeks fingers crossed!!

Yes, that's exactly how I feel about it. I have to say I don't expect much to change outside of my own head, but I did it for myself anyway so that doesn't matter much really.

Receiving my diagnosis, or professional assessment to be precise, really was the most positive thing. My report is quite simply me... Ben.. on paper. It brought so much relief as parts of me and my life started falling into place. 

I hope things work out just as postive for you.

Easier than I expected, yes- the hardest parts were talking about my experience of school and then of course waiting for the results. The assessment centre I went to did a great job of putting me at ease and being transparent about the process, which helped a lot.

Congrats......good to get that confirmation finally. I'm 36 and hope to get confirmation in the next few months
