Keeping my child back a year - Mainstream

Hi, 

Hope that someone can help!!! I am considering keeping my little girl back a year in school, I feel it would give her an extra year for her language and understanding skills to develop. Has anyone been through this process?

  • We did did last year for my youngest son, he's currently in his second year in primary one, it's been a huge sucess for us, he's much more able for the work this year, although he was only born six weeks before the cut off date for starting school a year later and was the youngest in his class last year
