ASD children in BESD special schools

My son is really struggling in his first term in a BESD special school (year7). Does anyone know of any research or evidence to demonstrate whether this is or is not an appropriate setting for Aspergers children? Thanks

    Does he behave well at the besd school? Does he behave better or worse at home?

    Can he articulate to you what they do at school with examples of things that he likes or doesn't like.

    Does the school claim expertise in autism or do they just concentrate on managing their students?
