A few months ago, I wrote a message about my niece - who self harms by bangs her her arms severely. She is non verbal and not able to communicate what is upsetting her. She had all her wisdom teeth removed a month ago, we thought this was the problem. While she has had a few good days, she has gone back to the self injurious behaviour. She has been given a variety of drugs to help - some help temporarily, or exacerbate, or do nothing. The medics seem at a loss. It's deeply disturbing for the family to deal with. Has anyone heard of this, had any experience of this behaviour?
