Who are the researchers?
This study is being conducted by ST. Mary's university‑based researcher as part of postgraduate research focusing on family experiences, communication, and wellbeing in families that include an autistic child.

What is the project about?
The project explores the experiences of parents raising an autistic child alongside a typically developing sibling, as well as the experiences of typically developing siblings growing up with an autistic sibling. It aims to better understand family communication, everyday challenges, and support needs within the family.

Who can take part?
- Parents who are raising at least one autistic child and one typically developing child
- Typically developing siblings of autistic children
- Participants must be able to communicate in English
- Based in the UK (or willing to take part online)
What does taking part involve?

Participants will be invited to take part in a one‑to‑one interview lasting approximately 45–60 minutes.

Parents and siblings will be interviewed separately.

Interviews can take place online or in person, depending on participant preference.
Reimbursement details
Participants will receive a small thank‑you 10£ Amazon voucher to acknowledge their time and contribution.
