Many teachers who work with children with autism will be aware of the difficulties we face when trying to get an accurate picture of their abilities. This is particularly true when we are trying to assess the literacy skills of children with minimum verbal ability.
I am a teacher of children with ASD and a Phd student who is passionate about teaching and learning for students with ASD and I am looking for schools to participate in my research.
I have designed a survey which is part of a wider study which aims to examine the advantages and disadvantages that current reading assessments offer to our students with ASD and how the situation might be improved.
If you are a teacher in a special school and you haven’t yet received your link to my online survey, or if you just want to know more about my research (removed by mod)
