Hi all, I'm new here and my son was recently diagnosed as autistic, though he is fairly high functioning, I have a question about DLA. It almost makes my skin crawl to ask, because I'm not after a cash cow, and I don't want to feel as though he's just been diagnosed and my first thought is kerching, but are all autistic kids entitled to this? Or do they have to be quite severe? And if you get it, what do you use it for? Extra trips, maybe to support groups? Specialist computer software maybe? As I say, I'm new to this, and I only bring it up because I saw a few threads when I was looking through the forum. Should I be applying for it?
