Stimming during school holidays

Does anyone notice if their children’s stimming gets worse and more distressing for them during the school holidays? My Sons has a couple of times.  Usually it’s calming for him

  • Stimming is usually a response to stress, not the cause. The only situation I can imagine where stimming would cause stress is if an autistic person was desperate not to stim, for social reasons, but felt unable to stop. I imagine that social pressures are generally lower out of school than in it.
