feel so bad

Hi i feel so bad cos a few times now iv over slept on a school morning and end up half an hour late with my son for school, the days i don't over sleep we r normally about 3 or 4 mins late and i know his head teacher is not happy COs my sons teacher mentioned it when we had a meeting with parent partnership, sometimes its my son not quite ready but most of the time its me, since being a child iv always found it difficult to wake up and difficult to fall asleep at night , no matter how hard i try i always seem to be running late where ever I go, and its really getting me down, i do feel mentally tired as in doing my teaching degree, i work part time , running a home and trying to find answers for my son who is susspected by his paed to have asd , does anyone else struggle with being pn time for school??

  • No problem.

My situation is a complicated one, and not one that should be used as a benchmark.  It wasn't necessarily a difficulty getting assessed, I badgered my psychologist until she referred me (so didn't go the GP route) and my NHS assessment cited autistic behaviours, (that's the short version) but didn't diagnose me, so I went the private route.  My GP recognises my private diagnosis.  That again, is the short version.  So everyone's experience is different basically, but you are entitled to that assessment.  If you get one organised, post on here again so you know what to do to prepare yourself.

You just need to do what you need to do for yourself, don't let others put you off.
