Refusal of medical treatment = blindness

Any advice would be amazing.
my daughter has a PDA profile and has refused to treat an eye infection. She has been told today that she has permanent damage in her right eye and the left could go the same way. She refuses the eye drops and cleaning regime and I’m at my wits end.

can anyone relate?

If it’s simply a fact that she can’t bring herself to do it while awake, and she’s competent, she could voluntarily consent to sedation so that they can do it while she is asleep, if her eyesight is at stake surely sedating her is a small risk compared to that
