Urgent: The case of Stephen Neary

Apologies if this is being dealt with elsewhere on the main body of the NAS website - if it is, could a mod please provide a link to it?

This case is urgent, needs as much publicity as possible to reuinte Stephen with his father and is also a big cause for concern in case other authorities take similar action aginst other parents.

I cannot believe this has happened. Are the Local Authority that sort sighted that they have not asked an expert about Stephen's behaviour? it is quite obvious that this is all normal behaviour for a distressed young lad with autism. I'm going to try to publicise this as much as I can - Stephen needs to go home.

I thank whoever posted this: AMO. I have never heard of Stephen Neary until today, so yes, they have kept this quiet. What an absolute decimation of human rights, no-one would believe this goes on but I have worked with young people who have been detained in mental health hospitals- against their will and their parents will. I will certainly do my best to bring this to the attention of people and perhaps someone can help. : (
