Supported living

Hello, I'm hoping other parents/carers can help me. My 19yr old son is being pushed into Supported Living for various reasons. We can't manage him at home anymore, he has violent and aggressive outbursts and I have to think of my other children too. My son is depressed and has very low self esteem, and has only just opened up to this, despite me battling to get him and professionals to recognise this for several years. I'm proud that he is now accepting antidepressants and support (albeit reluctantly), but I feel him going into Supportive Living with 24/7 carers looks to him like I'm getting rid of him. He knows it's going to happen, just not when or how. I feel like such a failure as a parent, and just need some positive stories to make this move for him more palatable.
