Toddler started to strip naked going toilet

Hi,

My son 4 year old has recently started to strip naked when going toilet. I have tried to discourage this but it seems to be getting worse. He has just started school And they said he has started doing it there. He has been great when going toilet until recently and never had any problems with this. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop him from doing this?

  • I don’t have any tips but my child who will be 4 in a few weeks time also does this but only when he is doing a number 2 and he is still wearing a nappy for number 2. I believe it’s a fear of getting any poo on his clothes or it makes him go better without being restricted by clothing on his body. Hard to guess when my son can’t say why. 


    My eldest child also takes bottom half of clothing fully off when going to the bathroom.

    Both of my children only do the toilet at home so I don’t make a fuss over it but I can understand your concerns especially at school. 

    Can he dress himself after he had taken his clothing off? Does he stay in the toilet cubicle until he has his clothing back on? Is it a mainstream school or a ASN school?
