Any Mums of Girls with Asperger's in Lancashire

Hi Everyone,

We would love to meet other girls with ASD. DD is 3.5 and has been diagnosed for 9 months, we've been hunting ever since for other girls and have really struggled. We're happy to travel and would love to meet others x

    I appreciate your concerns. However, I have been down the conventional routes already. I have contacted support groups including those run by NAS within an hours radius of our home. The youngest girl I have found through this route is 16. I have asked our specialist paediatrician, health visitor and psychologist - none have come back to us. Our details have been on contact a family for a year with no results. Our local child development centre are unaware of any others. I have even gone to the lengths of paying £100 for an advery in a local children's magazine in the hope that this will help us to find others.

    Is there any way the thread could remain and if there are others we could maybe arrange to meet at a local support group - thereby not exchanging any personal information on line? Would this be acceptable?

    If not, I am more than happy to take onboard any other suggestions you have for finding other girls.
