Issues with Draft Statement reports

I posted the weekend about that Bounces Draft Statement finally arrived after a very long wait to get it signed off only to discover a issue with social services report and even they were puzzled with it!!!

The report whcih was supposedly written by person named on it wasnt and she only is a team assistant who doesnt write reports or SA reports, no one has a clue who wrote it, team that do them refused to talk to me and said I need to speak to person named on it!!! Undecided. I was bounced about several times during 3 phone calls to try and sort this out and eventually old SW tried to find a solution to many issues aprt from above mentioned, 1, his name is spelt wrong, 2, they were talking about the wrong child, 3, spelling was dismal, 4, information was more of a personal opinion than the truth and some totally irrelevant!!!! OHH and it wasnt even signed!!!

  • cystal12, I have sent a letter to them but need to do another one has the fiasco unfolds. Have had enough, so much is going on with all my lads i feel like a bouncy ball been bounced around continuously!!!!! :(

    arty, I have spoke to my spport worker from sen pp, and apart from saying he will contact me end of next week not much he can do has letters have been sent! I cant just stand back and wit till someone calls me then arrange meeting then write to complain!!

    Am soo gutted has SENAR just informed me today that Bumblee hasnt got the school I requested has there is no space :( has there is only 2 MLD schls in my area both r full now got to wait a few more weeks till they find a few schools send papers to them and await to see, then its off to view more schools if not appeal/tribunal :(

    Already looking at 2 month delay for Bounces papers to be sorted out then sent to requested school (same school Bumblebee didnt get into, they do ASD has well). Got a feeling a more Autistic Specific School will be requested but so far havent found one (already viewed all but 1)

    Cant keep them both at present school (having more run ins with them :() and with their older brother leaving there tomorrow to start at mainstream closer tomoz, I have childcare to sort out has both schools start at same time 1.5 miles away from each other and local breaky club is very costly for less than a hour provision :(

  • Have you got a parent partnership organisation in your area? they maybe able to help. feel so annoyed for you. fingers crossed you get in sorted soon

  • Hi crystal 12 spoke to ed phsc today has well has  I noticed in her report she meported bounce started biting while being restrained!!!! I asked who in the hell has been restraining my child, he was accused of assault (he was 4 at the time).  After teacher came back after 5 weeks away and jumped straight in with bounce and expected everythink to carry on has norm and when he pulled away he accidently knocked her and she banged her arm on a cabinet but yet interpritation is wrong on  report so they have to be ammended and ed physc has mentioned a few other bits has well plus no medical evidence has been sent to me even though others have recieved it!!!!!!

    To say I am fuminis a underestimate , will write letter tonyte has its just not acceptable!,, I

  • hi tiredeyes - what a fiasco!  Write a letter of complaint to the director of children + families dept (copy to the Chair, who'll be a councillor) at your town hall.  Info will be on the council's website.  So sorry to hear you're having to put up with all this.  I'd be tearing my hair out.
