CBD Oil for Severe ASD for 5 year old

I have a 5 year old who has severe asd and is non vocal, he is on melatonin tablets to put him to sleep and he gets very angry and bites everyone at home and at school. has any parent tried CBD oil to calm similar kids who have similar behaviours, as Cahms are not medicating and he is extremely hard to handle at home and he is too young for drugs so Im told. So im desperate for any help and I know its not a quick fix but anything to calm him down.  Thank you

have you tried giving him a gluten free, dairy free diet?

i found that makes me a lot less angry. i also found nightshades made me feel bad too (potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, chilli peppers and aubergines).

after a while of doing the gluten and dairy free, and avoiding the nightshades, i then found out even grains made me feel uneasy so i stopped eating rice too and just have quinoa sometimes now instead. i have to rinse the quinoa in a sieve first (as anyone should) to get rid of the saponin in it which gives you digestion problems but because it's a seed it's easier to digest than grains. i have coconut aminos with it which is made out of coconuts and is a healthier alternative to soy sauce.

i can't eat legumes like soy beans and kidney beans and soy sauce is made from one of them so had to stop having that. i can't have vinegar either, it makes me nervous and stressed.

onions, garlic and cauliflower all make me feel ill too. i get overheated and tired if have them because of their high FODMAP content. (search for the FODMAP diet if you want to know more about that).

so now i eat a pretty limited diet. sweet potatoes (they're not in the nightshade family), meat, vegetables and at the weekend i treat myself to some ice cream or chocolate so it doesn't get too boring. i have found out i can have ghee (which is clarified butter) because it doesn't contain the things that are in dairy that affect people who can't have it. it's also a food that feeds the good bacteria in your gut and since our stomachs are full of bacteria keeping the good ones well fed has a lot of physical and mental benefits for us.

some people think this is extreme but thousands of years ago no people ate a varied diet compared to what we eat today. even most vegetables were only eaten where they were grown. there wasn't refrigeration and trading with primitive technology took too much time for people to be able to eat all the things we do now. many people back then may have eaten no more than one or two varieties of vegetables and only one carbohydrate source.
