CBD Oil for Severe ASD for 5 year old

I have a 5 year old who has severe asd and is non vocal, he is on melatonin tablets to put him to sleep and he gets very angry and bites everyone at home and at school. has any parent tried CBD oil to calm similar kids who have similar behaviours, as Cahms are not medicating and he is extremely hard to handle at home and he is too young for drugs so Im told. So im desperate for any help and I know its not a quick fix but anything to calm him down.  Thank you

  • I feel as a NT you maybe trying to conform him too much to our physical reality. Non speakers seem to have decided that our physical desires are nothing worth bothering with. And his imaginary world is far more exciting than our physical world. All he wants is to be given lots of space and left alone to imagine. Of course he needs to eat and sleep. Buts that it. The rest is a physicaly thrilling world we built for us. Not them.

    If you really are open minded. Research all the work that was done with amazing results in the 50.s and 60.s with LSD. Until the military banned it. 

    It may open a door for you both to meet somewhere else. But I stress. It's for both of you to take. To be fair

    Eg. 2 6 Yr old twins. Non communicative. No touching no eye contact little boys. Who were given very low doses. When then whilst laughing 80% more in the control time. Also suddenly turned stared into thier mums eyes

     Got up smiled walked over and gave thier mum. Her first real hug.   

    Not bad eh!

    but is the CBD oil beneficial for children with severe autism and who are non verbal, it has helped some autistic children based in wales. But the NHS do not have enough clinical evidence to support this. Any other advice out their as we I really need some real advice from parents who have similar children with a similar scenario.

    My partner is undiagnosed asd, he uses cbd for anxiety and to help with his anger, he found it helped but he is am adult. 

    We did discuss it for our daughter for her anxiety but after asking for help with her sleep (3 hours a night) we got reported for buying melatonin ( didn't know you weren't allowed) we decided not to try it

    It depends on what you are trying to achieve, CBD oil is muscle relaxant, and subtle pain relief, It is not a sedation drug, so he will not become unaware of what is happening to him , but he will be physically relaxed just enough maybe to prevent against instant aggression, But he will still get mad inside and the relaxed delay is not for long, so continuous anger will not be affected, just a delay in action, Its i cant be asked to move my body even though I'm angry, It will not sedate him to not feel or notice the anger , Personally i would get to the root of the anger , rather than attempt sedation,
