My 4 y/o son has suspected ASD and we are in the middle of having him assessed.

He hurt his foot while on the trampoline he refused to try put any weight on it so we decided to take him to a&e they took an x-ray and thankfully no broken bones no bruising or swelling so the doctor told us he should be ok in a few days. 10 days later he is still not even trying to walk or put weight on his leg he is walking around on his knees. I think its in his head if he tries to walk it is going to hurt but while he is sitting on the sofa he is stamping his feet off the ground and sits on the foot which he is saying is sore im not sure if this is apart of his suspected autism?

Any advice is appreciated.

  • Also he is only saying it is sore when i say to him about going somewhere nursery etc

  • Hello, I am neither qualified nor experienced in dealing with autistic children.

There is a Facebook group - Autism Moms Support Group - which might be worth checking out. You can find it here.

Hopefully one of the members with experience of raising an autistic child will find the time to answer your query.
