Films

For many years, I couldn't watch films due to lack of concentration. Now, I love them.

What's everyone's favourite films? Any recommendations please. Over the last few months, I've seen:

- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (both versions)

- The Borrowers (both versions)

- Matilda

- Fantasic Mr Fox

  • I love films. They have been my refuge when I was too anxious/upset to do anything.

I really enjoy anime, especially Studio Ghibli, like 'whispers of the Heart', 'Spirited Away' and 'Ponyo' (there ar a lot more). But I prefer them in Japanese (with English subtitles) because I find the US dub too screeching. Was the version of the Borrowers you saw studio Ghibli's 'Arrietty'?

Also, I enjoy Tim Burton films, and if you liked his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, try his Alice in Wonderland.

I also love all the Sci-Fi and Marvel and Fantasy types of film, and also US Indie-type films. Also a lot of animation, like 'Coraline' or 'The Incredibles'.

I totally avoid upsetting films, and any films where animals get hurt at all, as that I find very upsetting.  I would not at all recommend the film 'Mary and Max', it's supposed to be about Aspies, but it is very upseting (in my opinion), and would suggest to everyone to avoid it.
