Clouds

I'm utterly obsessed with cloud structures, including their genera, species, varieties, etc. I'm always looking at the clouds; they fascinate me to no end. Got way too many clouds I need to upload somewhere, but my ADHD gets in the way of that. >_<

Anybody else into cloud formations here or am a completely lonely? :)

  • Nothing to be ashamed of at all!  Things to be ashamed of are things that affect others adversely.  Obsession with clouds hurts no one.

While not into the actual names of clouds (although I can tell a cirrus from a cumulo-nimbus!) I love the shapes of clouds, and see all sorts of pictures in them.

There are the sky islands of clouds in the hour around sun-down, where there is a fantasy seascape with exotic islands set in a sea of sky.  I often muse whether these are some sort of representation of actual islands or just some creative force having a bit of fun with an evening paintbox.

Then there are the fluffy clouds - sometimes looking like lambs or rabbits. Sometimes they look like trees.  Sometimes like scoops of ice cream.

The red hot coals, just after the sun goes down, where the mackerel sky of cirro-cumulus goes a bright red perhaps with a bit of yellow.  A magnificent end to the day!

And all of these are so ephemeral, changing form so rapidly.

    Yes, clouds are wonderful things!
