    Hi Blues

I don't think you over reacted. You brought something important to everyones's attention.

Spam is dangerous because often it is illegitimate and has the purpose to entrap and defraud innocent victims with lies and false claims and false promises.

The goal of a spammer is to engage the victim in a conversation whereby they can trick them.

The key lesson for people to learn or be aware of is never to take any bait and never to engage in any interaction with a spammer. To do this, never click on any link, never respond to any email, and never phone any number. Ignore the spam and delete the spam immediately. Never let any fear or threat or accusation or promise of reward or curiosity or any prompt make you want to communicate with the spammer. Spam is often, but not always, from an unsolicited unknown source. Spammers sometimes disguise themselves and pretend to be someone you are familiar with so one has to be careful all the time and be on guard.

One must be skeptical when reading any advertisement in an email or post, or anything someone unknown and unverified may say on a phone call. So if someone calls you and says they are from your bank you need to be skeptical.

Don't believe people telling you that you have won something, or that you can get something for free, or that you are in trouble - always be skeptical, and don't engage but disengage from suspicious communicators.
