Run out of steam

So, never posted in a forum before. Thought this might be the best place to start. I've run out of steam, after 5 years  and 9 months since the official diagnosis of autism for my child, I have nothing left. I can't cope. There's no support from "professionals", they only offer platitudes. I was referred to behaviour support in August 2015, my appointment was in January, a phone call in May has lead to a follow up appointment in July 2016. More platitudes I suspect. I lost it yesterday, and not in a tidy way. I'm scaring my husband and don't know how much more I can do.  I'm hoping I'm maybe not on my own here?

No you aren't on your own. There are lots of people here with experience of what you are going through. A lot of the experience is, like me, from the point of view of a late diagnosed adult but there are also parents in similar position to you.

What is your immediate problem? What has pushed you over the edge?
