  • Hi

Please ring the helpline and they will help you through and hopefully make suggestions. Go to the top of this page and under search you will see two options you can click on. click on the Helpline and other contacts and this will take you to the telephone number. I hate the phone, but these people know some of us hate phones.

I had quite a few forms to complete. Two assessments on different days. The first one my mother came with me to go through my early years.  The second one I went on my own and 'played'. That was easy after sitting through what my mother shared with them which all helped the process but non too comfortble hearing it all. She went to a seperate session too by the way.  About a month later I had the diagnosis appointment which the consultant was there too. He asked me questions and I tried to supply answers.  I was given the diagnosis at that session. Mine was done via Wakefield but whether they use the same as Sheffield I don't know.

  • Hi pete i'm Rachel i'm 24 and I was diagnosed with asperges when I was 21. What happened to me was my parents had to come along and they where asked a load of questions about my childhood. I found this hard because painful memories came back and I had to leave the room. After my parents where questioned it was my turn I didn't find this so bad. After that the doc told us there and then that I had asperges syndrome. After being diagnoised I recived help from the mental health team from neath port Talbot which was strange as I'm a swansea girl. However I'm not a 100% sure what will happen to you but I hope with what I told you helps
