Think I have Aspergers/could really do with a friend

Hi, I'm Kenny,aged 42. I've done an online Aspergers test through the Aspergers test site,the result from that test suggests that I've got Aspergers.I've been to my doctor to ask to be referred for a proper test/diagnosis but he totally dismissed that idea,another doctor was just the same. I get told by them that I've got Social Anxiety Disorder but I'm co hinged I've got Aspergers. I find interacting with people incredibly difficult, although I would really like one or two friends. I've joined twitter as a means of speaking to others but few people want to talk to me, I could really do with some freinds.

  • Hi, yes with other matters my G.P. has been very good but his attitude to Autism is just terrible! Idont think that there are any adults Aspergers groups near where i live. Twitter, yes, i joined that about a couple of months ago, the novelty factor has definitely worn off for me but i will keep my account. There can be days when noone wants to speak. Are you on twitter yourself? I've joined the NAS to get advice and also to hopefully hear from others with Aspergers. if you ever want to chat just message me back.
