What do I do with a 15 year old with Aspergers?

Hello, I have a 15 year old boy with Aspergers and Anxiety. We found out this back in August, but not much has been done about it yet. He see's a concillor and has home tutoring, but really wants to socialize and have some friends. The problem is that he gets anxious very easily. We asked for help at our city care center, but all they have done at the moment is refer me to this website.

I looked on the directery thing to see if there were any support groups for him or anything, but most of them were aimed for either adults or younger children, but the ones who do offer support are very hard to get hold of. We live near the Peterborough area if you are wandering.

What do I do?

    Hi Christine,  I am in Peterborough too with a 17 year old with an ASD.  We attend a great youth club where there are young people from 13 - 20 with various disabilitites.  ASD/Aspergers included.  The staff are great and they also run 3 days a week during school hols with really good activities.  I've included the link.
