The recent case of Ethan www.bbc.co.uk/.../uk-england-33121969 made me think of your problems. I don't suppose that your case is much like Ethan's case but...
A mother's love for her child can blind her to other points of view. The court processes are not perfect but they are not random or arbitrary. The father has a point of view and he has rights as do you and your child. He may not be reasonable in your eyes but the court has to be impartial and not take emotional decisions.
It isn't the barrister's job to educate the court about autism. That job would fall to an "expert witness". I expect that this would be a consultant psychologist in this case. These add further costs to your case and may well be countered by an expert witness appointed by the other side.
