  • 'When Fraser Met Billy' is a true story, so I hope would be more useful than fiction.

If you like reading fiction though there's one called 'Speed of Dark'.  I liked it better than 'Curious Incident' but maybe that's just me.  I like Science Fiction, and Speed of Dark has a small SF element and some ideas to really think about.  The main character is an independant adult too.

On pets, if you did get one you'd need to get one that your son wanted if it was a small pet or they can be boring! If he's only 3 I guess he's too young to choose something. In my teens I kept and bred gerbils: I'm interested in colour genetics! If I got fish I'd want to get several in a tank: they are more interesting if you can watch them interact and swim in shoals I think. Guinea pigs can be a good indoor pet, but you must get more than one as they need company of their own kind, and they need fresh veg/vitamin c. We had them as kids: they are placid and rarely bite.
