Is AI getting out of hand?

I feel like it is; I'm getting to the point where it will end up being normal. To tell you the truth, I don't want that.

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on AI

  • Although AI identified the current cyber-security flaw, it can enable and potentially create future cyber-security flaws or worse.

I find AI useful sometimes, but I’m concerned about becoming reliant on it. Its effects on young people is even more concerning as young people’s brains need to be stretched to grow.

I see Wes Streeting has again been warning about our reliance on the internet today. I don’t want to be in a position of not having any contact with the outside world, should the internet go down, so I have just bought a new ‘old fashioned’ style radio that can be powered by batteries or mains electricity. It has lovely buttons and dials and I’m looking forward to twiddling the dial to fine tune a station.

I really understand the joy of this.

I hate those pointy things and refuse to use them.

I am often complaining about the lack of knobs on items these days.

Several of my things have gone wrong recently - a PC, a radio and a CD player and in each case it was the technology that caused the problem ie them being digital.

I know that PCs have to be digital but you used to be able to get a radio that never went wrong and I had CD players that lasted decades.
