There are times when I'm such a numpty

It was years before I worked out that actors wear wigs!, I'd see them in something and then see them on something like the One show and wonder how they'd manages to grow their hair so much and stuff like that.

Theres been so many things like that over the years, mispronunciations, not knowing what some cultural things are, I sort of have to wonder at my own niavity. WHat made it all worse was that some "friends" would either laugh at me or wouldn't tell me I'd made a boo boo so they could laugh behind my back.

Do you ever miss the obvious?

  • It's not your fault TheCatWoman, the beauty industry has a lot to answer for! I recently went onto a beauty section of a website to get some advice for a under eye cream. Had a look at some of the tthreads, what you can do/get for your body these days is amazing! Open mouth Eye lash inserts! Eye liner and lip tattoos, eyebrow blading, obviously botox and fillers, new style hair extentions (Nano loops?) for thickness, etc. I've also recenntly watched Surgery Secrets of the Rich and Oliva Attwoods Price of Perfection on modern plastic surgery. You can now even have fat transfers for the back of your hands to make them look younger! I think the worst one though was in an episode of Olive Attwood, it's a bit grim but people were having their legs intentionally broken, rods inserted and everday, 4 times a day they had a an alen key and would wind it round to seperate the bones a bit more to give them extra hight. They did this for three months. 

    Now, writting all that sounds like I have missed the obvious Joy in that you were using the beauty example as an example, lol but I just wanted to let you know there's a lot more visual beauty trickery out there than we realise! Also, my own example, it was only recenntly I realised George from Rainbow is a boy. 

    Also, those 'friends' don't deserve your time or attention. Frankly you are well shot of them.
