This is also exactly what I would do... including the rewilding part! I would also plant lots of trees... and if I had money left over I would also buy land (AWAY from where I lived!) to give to charities that would take care of it/rewild it/plant trees for the benefit of all.
Yes this sounds good to me, I've always loved the idea of creating a nature reserve, especially if I could create wildlife corridors to help connect up existing places so wildlife to get around more easily. With some marine reserves too.
It would be too much for me to look after, so creating jobs for others to look after it, and opportunities for young people to get skills in nature would be a benefit.
