Android: Moving the text cursor when typing

It's does work on iPads too, I don't have one but my son first showed me on his school one.

In his assessment last year, I mentioned it as something he'd taught me from his tech obsession, and his assessor was amazed! In his follow-up she said she used it all the time after that! 

It's pretty handy!

I can’t get it to work on my iPad. Maybe I’m not doing it correctly

Hmm, I just asked him and yeah, he said hold down the space bar and drag left or right and it should move the cursor, like in the android description? I will ask to have a go on his later on to see!

I misread your post and tried deleting the text by dragging left and right which of course it wouldn’t do. I already use the drag cursor function and edit. 

I know I didn’t read your post carefully enough, but aside from that, I find it hard to describe some of actions I use on my iPad, I just do them.
