Coping with weekly shopping trip - older people

Having coped quite well at home with the heat, I'm starting to find it exhausting doing the weekly shop. I try to arrange things so I don't visit more than 5 shops. I always take a hat and cold drink and sometimes a sandwich.

How do you cope with shopping, in this heat?

  • I only really go to the supermarket, I like to look at the yellow sticker items and get things I can freeze. I tend to go late evening, there is no music playing or announcements, the shop is usually quite devoid of people. I’ve done Christmas shopping in the early hours before, no Christmas music on loop and half the lights are normally turned off. I don’t think I’ve ever visited 5 shops in one day.
