Moving house

Moving house on Tuesday and although im delighted to be moving into a better living situation (cost is a worry)

this is the second time in a year and a half. I have absolutely no support as have no friends or family. I’m totally overwhelmed and having meltdowns galore. any advice as I’m struggling big time.

Parents
  • I labelled everything and which room but the movers didn’t stick to it. As I was in the garden calming my reactive dog ( annother issue  my arise with him barking so extra stress) Everything is having to be moved up and down the stairs and don’t have the strength. Charity shop are collecting stuff today but realised the fire certificate on a massive chair must have tore it off in the move. The council will only collect if it’s put outside and I can’t left it. Another expensive. Already paying for two rents for the next 4 weeks. I have no carpets and it’s kicking up dust from the concrete floor another expensive. I’m poor but still love this place as it’s a godsend having a garden. Rainbow

  • You should be able to make a claim with your removal firm for the damage to the chair. You can cost it as how much you have to pay someone to put the chair outside and the council's fee for removing it. When I moved, it felt like all the problems were catastrophes, but I got through it, in the end. I was stressed out for a long while, but the place was worth it. Of course, the main problem is forking the money out in the first place, in order to reclaim it. But at least you check the firm is insured and will accept your claim before you pay anything.
