Moving house

Moving house on Tuesday and although im delighted to be moving into a better living situation (cost is a worry)

this is the second time in a year and a half. I have absolutely no support as have no friends or family. I’m totally overwhelmed and having meltdowns galore. any advice as I’m struggling big time.

  • Yes, it is always hard at first,  . I've moved over 33 times in my life. But you get used to it and in the end start to enjoy it. Look at the positive angles - new places to explore, new neighbours [might be better than previous or at least you can try different reactions with them], new facilities and shops; a new house and garden to explore and make it just as you want it. Best of all, I used to love shopping for new home and garden items.

Take it slowly, one day at a time. Keep a Journal - then you can reflect on your new experiences. Some will be not so good, but there is always something good. Get used to the surroundings and put away your belongings before you venture out - that way, you will have somewhere pleasant and safe to come back to, whatever happens. Meeting people through local clubs and events is really the last thing on the shopping list!
