Pokémon Games

For some reason it's always been seen as a stereotypical autistic interest (even before Satoshi Tajiri's diagnosis was public?) but does anyone here play the pokemon games? The main series ones not just Go (although I also play Go) or some of the other spinoffs. I've played them all now and I'm replaying Leaf Green, I've just beat the Elite Four with a Pinsir, Starmie, Exeggutor, Jolteon, Nidoking and Clefable, I don't like using the same Pokemon in multiple games so i tried hard to use ones I hadn't used before, they're all very good team members but Nidoking is 100% broken considering you get a moon stone before the second gym.

I'm thinking of playing the original Diamond next as I've never beaten that one, only Platinum. A lot of complaints about it so I'm curious as to how bad I'll actually find it. I'm in two minds on if to import a randomized team or if to just use Pokemon in the native pokedex (of which hardly any are that good sadly...well, if they are like Staraptor and Garchomp I've already used them all numerous times).

  • Loved red/blue/yellow, gold/silver/crystal, black/white, sun/moon, sword/shield and scarlet/violet also liked the trading card game(the actual one and the video game) and love the TCG spin off my first pokemon battle (got all 4 decks as well as one of 3 pokemon battle academy sets)

I didn't like go I tried it once the media hysteria and mass hype died a bit and I wasnt impressed with the gba/ds dungeon crawler games either

Loved the Kanto series and first movie

I so think though the first gen was the best 150 seemed like a perfect amount where everyone could rank them best to worst and have a good enough chance of finding the one you wabted.

I dislike how the games are starting to use the anime sounds for the pokemon the growls beings game thing and the saying theirs own name being an anime thing made sense who wants to hear the name of the pokemon repated every battle for hundreds of hours
