Alarm clocks with dim letters

Hi. My old plug in alarm clock has finally had it. The light was dim enough to not light up the room. I tried a new one with a green light and it was so bright I couldn't sleep. I have looked at descriptions of a few and they all say you can see the time on the opposite side of the room, so no need to squint. I just need one with enough light to see it when it is nearby at night.  Has anyone found one that is not too bright or a dimmer setting?

  • I use a Lenovo Smart Clock, I hate most "smart" features on devices but it's display is really good for customisation in terms of the brightness, so it'll be like really bright and clear in the day so I can glance at it, and then at night it'll dim the display relative to the light so it's just barely visible without being distracting. I just looked and you can't buy them anymore new but they're relatively cheap on ebay secondhand.
